I forgot to shoot this while I filmed my 37 month video, so I rushed this to make the deadline. I added a butterfly (the natural one from the inside arm rolls) to a fist stall. You can ignore the throwing the ball to the other side, I just wanted to see if I can do it, and I was surprised I did, so I had some fun with it.

Thanks Frawg. During the little bit of practice I had before I shot I realized that the 20-finger roll was easier if I went in a certain direction. It's nice to know, but it also means that I need to go in the other direction more to get better.
Your Finger Flurry Iso Variation is way better than mine. I'm having a lot of trouble on the back of the hand rolls.

Inside Arm Rolls -> Flowers

I realized as I was uploading that I derped on the finger flurries and did them incorrectly. We'll just call what I did a variant. :D

Those flowers are cool Tobias.

Bandaid, those 20 finger rolls looked a lot more under control! Sweet, it looks like on one hand you flip over your pinky but on the other you flip over your index finger? Try to keep the flips over the pinkys so it's going around the outsides of your hands and it will look even cooler (imo)

Edit :  I just realized I forgot the finger flurry (sorry Cory ) I thought it felt too short  derp

For next week's submission the challenge is to submit a stall! Now, how you get to that stall is part of the submission too. Whatever move you like into whatever stall. Feel free to get creative! Just make sure it's not over-the-top difficult.

You have between now and next Tuesday (March 13) to submit your next entry. Your video should include:
1. Palmspin
2. Ratchet
3. Rotating Claw Iso
4. 20 Finger Roll
5. Finger Flurry Iso Variation
6. Vertical Spiral Halfpipe
7. Inside Arm Rolls
8. Your submission for what move you'd like to come next (some kind of move into some kind of stall)

I ALMOST pointed this out again earlier this week but realized I better not. I noticed not everyone either was paying attention or had forgotten that this week submission was all about a stall. SO! Good job to everyone who was paying attention. :D Though everyone again submitted great submissions, some had to be automatically disqualified (only for the week and you guys can feel free to submit those moves again in the future, I just couldn't count your submission for this week's. That's all.).

This week's winner is: Lapwing with what I'm just going to label on our list as circle into prayer stall.

Congrats, Lapwing!

One of the nice things about Lapwing's choice of this butterfly variation before the prayer stall is that you can use it as a "time waister" until you feel you are ready to go into the stall. This is handy if the stall is new to you and you're still building up the confidence to go into it. It can also come in handy if you were timing the stall to a certain part of your music and you realize you're just a little too early. You can throw in doing it a couple of more times until you are ready to nail that stall out of the blue. The goal is to hit that stall with confidence and to be able to hold it steady without really any wavering. Don't worry if it's wobbly in your submissions, will get better with time! Since this week was mainly focused on the stall, you can feel free to even just do one circle before going straight into the stall. I'll leave it up to you guys on how much you want to add in that butterfly variation. You can use it once and see it solely as a transition or accentuate it more and do it a few times until you go into the stall.

*NOTE*... More than any other year, this year has been super lax on the direction moves are going. If you're new to FTL and are thinking about jumping in, you'll want to watch a few videos to notice how some are making the moves their own.

Now that I had my chance to tease a couple of you (don't worry, I'm truly just teasing), I can state that there is again no requirements on where to go with next week's submission. That's the nice thing about a stall, you can refocus where you want to go....or you can keep going in a similar direction. So, what do you think would look nice after the prayer stall?

You have between now and next Tuesday (March 20) to submit your next entry. Your video should include:
1. Palmspin
2. Ratchet
3. Rotating Claw Iso
4. 20 Finger Roll
5. Finger Flurry Iso Variation
6. Vertical Spiral Halfpipe
7. Inside Arm Rolls
8. Circle into Prayer Stall
9. Your submission for the move to come next.

Wow, 9 weeks already. Woot! You guys are doing awesome!!! :D :D :D :D

I didn't notice that it had to be a stall...

Thanks Zeta, I haven't even thought of doing all pinky flips. I did it a couple times just now with all pinky flips and it does look better. It will just take some getting used but it does work better. Thanks for the insight.

I just realized that I'm going to have to order a new 75mm clear acrylic thinks to this competition. lol. Scratches are the fate of an acrylic though, so I'm not sad. It was inevitable.

Edit : Yes this is real snow in the video, random squall today, yesterday was 70 effin degrees.....the weather is confused around here atm.

Sweet! Yeah, the idea was just a finger roll on the back of the hand so the same way you start a regular finger roll pinky roll to the opposite pinky.

Marks spiraling walking line was tough! I keep losing place or pace. Trying to remember which hand I end up on facing up or down... still hasn't become second nature..

This is a lot of fun! I realize we are kind of getting into butterflies going into the circle/prayer stall. Should we emphasize those now or save them for a later move that is
pure butterfly?

Here's my submission, I originally wanted to do a chest roll, then I got beat to it...twice...so here's a chest roll variation! A chest roll curl!

I also threw in a mini tutorial on the vertical spiral halfpipes (while talking to my girlfriend on Skype). Hope that helps!

I finally have video editing software that lets me edit video from my iPhone, so I added music and kinda added a bit to the routine. Not that much though. This is the first time I've edited a video so it's nothing fancy.

I added a Ringing the Towel type move. My plan was to add the Prayers, but Zeta beat me to it.
On a side note, I really need to work on my circles. They're pretty bad, lol. Then again, I was trying to keep up with the music. I didn't get the routine exactly how I wanted it but this was my best take out of many.
