Wow, just spend too long looking through this thread, what a great concept. As a newbie (um, a balls havent even arrived newbie! Any day now) I will be playing along quietly at home if there is a 2012 edition, seems like a great way to learn, and Sennyo's commentary after each round is helpful.

I would suggest not "playing along quietly at home" but rather be a full participant, I seem to remember some beginners last year participating and their skills grew quite quickly.

Definitely, post videos and let us all help!

This community is awesome ! I feel I will be very welcome, even though I am still only on misshaped objects and a ridiculously small, unbalanced sphere (50mm, LED lights and a moving 'seed' with a silly face inside) which makes it quite futile. Going to the PO again today to look for my HOP order's arrival so I have some 100mm balls to start play properly.

I can assure you, you are more than welcome here! The .Org is probably the most welcoming (and dare I say, loving?) forum on the interwebz.

quick question out of curiosity, do moves that are more so for style such as robot motions with isolations count or are we just tryin to stick to tricks and stuff like that is left to personal style?

I think all is fair game, as long as it looks good following the previous move ^^

I think adding style into a move should be duplicated as well. This competition is to help people open up there move set and help learn to CJ. And stylize a move can definitely help with that.

Since people are working on different styles, its about the move submitted and you are supposed to do it with your own personal style or the style you are working on. That way it stays fair and gives a chance for everyone to work on their own personal style which will benefit them in the long run.

Official new thread coming REAL soon! Game starts officially January 17th - next Tuesday. :D

So, dotorg being down kinda messed up my plans. I was just in the middle of creating the new thread when dotorg went down and I think I need to give everyone time to read the rules and ask questions, if there are any. So, I'm posting the new thread now and then we will start on next Tuesday. That is when the first move will be posted. Then we will all be sure to start on the same page and everyone is clear on what is going on. YAY!
