whelp, here's what I have to show for myself so far:

This ball is full of water, so it makes palm isos a little interesting - but it shows up on film pretty well... also there's iridescent ribbon and an LED floater inside that lights up when you bounce the whole thing (hence the slamming on the ground & whackin it around). It looks pretty rad at dusk! Unfortunately, not so much on film :?

Anyway, please do bring the pain - any and all criticism is welcome, especially any which points out bad habits you see forming, or easier ways of doing things, or tricks for drilling & improving cruddy looking moves!

Oh - and music is courtesy of the indispensable Al Hirt. This one's called "Java," and I first heard it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r395r7V7hjo (<-- not CJ, but worth the click if you like Muppets and laughing like an idiot)

Looking smooth, main things: try to keep the hand you are not actively using either down by your side or somehow emphasising your movements, at the moment you have the infamous dinosaur arm the other thing is- get a non waterfilled ball, those things are a nightmare to control! Oh and try slowing down your palm iso.

-watch the dinosaur hand
-get a better ball (watery balls have internal currents that throw errthing off)
-nice job drilling both hands
-more horizontal angle of attack with your squeeze-ups (receiving hand should come in more sideways)

Great job for a one-month video! You're clearly maintaining a bunch of good practice habits. I'd recommend learning elbow stalls soon... you'll need to anyway, and the earlier you start, the sooner you can get 'em out of the way.

The only ball with liquid inside it worth using is a Sil-x.
It's worth repeating. ^_^

Great job, though! You're well on your flowwy way to being a lovely contact juggler. ^_^

Fun! :D

You are so ready to get out of the hands comfort zone and onto your arms... great for just a month!

oh man - just watched it again with "dinosaur arm" on the brain and was laughing out loud 15 second in.

thank you guys so much for the feedback! I really do need to snoop around for elbow stall tips, I'm not really sure how to begin drilling those...

For using a water ball you seemed to have a nice control over the ball. I would agree to consider upgrading to a proper to CJ ball though. Good work for 1 month.

Just stick a ball on yer elbow and wait 'til it's comfortable. If it's not working, you're probably not keeping your elbows lifted enough. Keep on the edge of your comfort zones by walking around or jostling the ball a bit.

With arms open: keep your arms extended to your sides, not in front, and don't lock your elbow - keep it a tiny bit bent.
With arms closed: Keep your arms in a circle like you're hugging someone around the shoulders, only with your palms facing down. The stall point's right next to the bony part on top of the elbow.
