For some reason youtube video tags aren't working properly at the moment. I've no idea why, but until this issue gets fixed you can surround your youtube videos with the [video] tags, it seems to work okay.

The issue is the shortened URLs. You can't use them, or it won't show the video.

Ah, I've only tried my unlisted youtube videos, and the url always has a youtu.be thing tagged onto the end. Whatever has happened has only just happened, as videos previously embedded have stopped working and are just leaving a big empty space where they used to be.

On youtube, click Share under the video. There is a box to check to get the long link.... or you can just use the URL in the address bar.
