So here's my plan. Every Wednesday I'm holding an open mic night in the Tea House.

Don't be shy, we're a friendly crowd!

Sing us a song, tell us a joke, do us a dance, whatever you like.

The idea is to try and get you guys to submit one video a week of yourself doing absolutely anything.

Balls, clubs, unicycle, diabolo, staff, poi, magic, guitars, bass, tuba... whatever. But you get a free cup of internet tea or coffee if you submit a video of you CJing

I know there is a bit of a time difference going on, but just ignore it. If it's Wednesday evening where you are, that's your cue.

I look forward to a max capacity crowd.

Just one thing, leave your shoes and your username at the door if you can...

Good idea. I'll join in once I get a camera... assuming I'm not too horrified with the results that I crawl away and find a convenient rock under which I can eek the rest of my days...

Brilliant, I'm glad you guys seem up for it!

There are no real rules, you don't ever HAVE to post a vid, only do it if you want to or get the chance to. It's not a competition. You don't have to tell us your real name (although in my experience this forum is actually the only place on the net I'd even suggest it, we're all pleasant enough!). If you don't want crit, tell us. If you need crit, ask us.

My goal with this is to whip up some interest in posting videos that we can all enjoy regardless of content. It will hopefully bring out the performer in you that you may not have got in touch with yet. Having your own online presence is such a good way to boost your self confidence that eventually when you set up your camcorder you are so at ease with filming yourself and at ease with this community that you positively can't wait to make your next video.

Imagine the scenario; you've made us laugh, made us cry, you've intrigued us, drawn us in with your story, opened our eyes, you've basically got your personality out on the line and you feel like at last, we all really know where you are coming from.
Eventually you know when you've got it in you to make a video free of the self-conscious person within.

I'm sure I speak for us all when I say we would especially like it if all you do is post vid after vid of your CJing. Eventually you will have an online record of your progression that you are constantly working on. Not one video here, one there, and another one in two years' time. Take hold of inspiration with both hands and manipulate it to your best advantage.

However -

This is also a place where you should be able to look at yourself and not like what you see. If you watch a video you've made and really really don't like it, and would normally die at the prospect of anyone else seeing it, this is possibly all the more reason to post it. Tell us what you hate about it. Open up with your innermost feelings. Sometimes, all you will ever notice are your bad points. Getting good, honest feedback about the things you disliked could actually prove you so wrong once you hear other people's views. Alternatively, don't post the video (although that isn't possible when you've just done a live show you didn't like, you can't just rewind and delete it...) but please please still tell us why you didn't post it.

I understand that the last paragraph is all too easily said and not very easily done, but you've got to ask yourself one question.

Why are you still reading this?

As a little P.S., if you've made a video and don't feel like this is the right place to post it, either start your own thread in this section of the forum and tell us why and what you want from us, or post it in the videos section as normal. This isn't intended to be a breakaway section of the forum, it is only here to enhance one aspect of your CJing.

So I have been working on this move... The Standing, Horizontal Hand to Foot Body Roll... Not quite there yet, it involves some flexability that I need to continue to work on...

BUT!!! (there is always a but) I have been able to get close to a Standing Vertical Hand to Foot Body Roll, just so I can get down some of the kenetics with rolling with my legs... WHICH IS HARD!!!!!

So I was able to get it a few times on video so I can see what I need to work on... And hey... Open mike night... (And noone seems to be putting out anything yet) So here ya go...

This is the "Standing Vertical Hand to Food Body Roll" video...

Enjoy... Its Good all the way to the end...

Saulie...

WARNING!!!! I AM NOT WEARING A SHIRT!!!!

And Yes, I know that I say vertical, and the video says lateral... oops...
