Hi all.

I haven't bought my first ball yet but tomorrow I will.

I was just watching the videos on the 1ball tutorials section of this website and was wandering if I was going to be able to do this trick with a 100mm ball? I have small hands and it looks like you need big hands to pull it off.

I'm a it worried fo my first ball being a waste as is going to be the wrong size :/

I've seen most of the videos an it dosent seem size matters on most tricks but things like the finger roll and the palm circle is what attracted me to the hobby lol.

Thanks again

Ok, so for the finger roll, spread you hands and put them little finger to little finger, palm up in front of you. That's how a finger roll goes, so if your hands are spread, the size of the ball shouldn't be a problem. As for the palm spin isolations, bigger balls are easier to do that move with, for instance, I started with a 76mm acrylic. I couldn't keep the ball still cause it had to roll farther along my hand, But when I bought my 100mm stage ball and acrylic it became easier. Do not worry about size just yet. It'll be fine.

Yeah don't worry about it. If you're especially into isos then get an acrylic too - 90mm or a 100mm your choice. You'll scratch them up but isos are much more fun to learn on an acrylic. That said if you learn smooth isos with something as light as a stageball you're going to be jaw droppingly good when you move up to something more heavy and stable like acrylic.

Here's .org's very own GuitarPlaya doing some lovely isos and if that's not a 100mm ball I'll eat my hat.
