Post subject: 3 ball ratchet - Which is it?

So as i get farther into multiball, im following Drew's book and i get to the 3 ball ratchet.

I had already watched the 3 ball ratchet video on this sight, and the 2 tricks are vastly different, so im curious which is which. Because the video on this sight looks like a proper 3 ball ratchet, whereas the trick in Drew's book looks like a whole different trick entirely (and altogether, not a really impressive trick, unless i can see a video of it)
