I've been practicing arm rolls for weeks now. Inside forearm is fine. Top of the forearm, not so good, and trying the beginning of folding lines (top of forearm to underside or vice versa) is like 1 in 50 tries!

The question is this:

Is it because I'm trying with my F ball?

Do you think it will be easier for me to advance on this once I get my 4" sil-x and 4" acrylic from neon husky in a week or so?

My wife got them for my birthday on the 25th and I wish she would just give them to me early!

Bigger balls make rolls easier.

Also, change weeks to months and you'll be on a more likely timeline for folding lines.

Here's the breakdown:

1. Get solid inside elbow stalls
2. Get solid outside elbow stalls
3. Get solid inside arm rolls
4. Get solid outside arm rolls
5. Get folds (Inside elbow stall <-> outside elbow stall)
6. Do this sequence: Cradle -> outside elbow stall (stop) -> inside elbow stall (stop) -> palm, then back. Both hands, off hand first.

excellent thank you. I guess my expectations were a little unrealistic. And if I'm hearing you right, having the bigger balls should help me advance the sequence you illustrated.

yes, it's too small and light.

>Do you think it will be easier for me to advance on this once I get my 4" sil-x and 4" acrylic from neon husky in a week or so?
Yes.

What Richard said. :D
A new ball might help a bit, but training techniques will help a lot more.
CJ is HARD, it will take month years to learn some moves, enjoy the journey.
(But Fushigi can be mastered in days! it must be true, it said so on the advert  )
For 99% of beginners learning arm rolls would advise - slow down.

If you've got to 1 in 50 in a few weeks, then that sounds like good progress :D.
