Remember these videos?

Spoiler:

Well, it's...not exactly that time of year again but it's early enough to think about your submissions for the BEST COLLABORATION VIDEO IN EXISTENSE!!!
Are you pumped? I'm sure pumped.
Last year's collab was a huge success and as long as everyone is ok with it, Sennyo and I were hoping to be in charge of collecting footage and editing again this year.

Like the previous two years, this year's collab video will be containing many exciting clips from a giant collection of contact jugglers from all around the world. This video is open for any contact juggler to be a part of; We just have a few minor guidelines that we ask you to please follow:

:balance: This video has no theme and no real rules or limitations. Film yourself anytime, anywhere with any amount of spheres of any color or style. Though you have artistic freedom of your juggling, please try not to film in a location which has a less-than-appealing background. (no messy rooms, refridgerators, garbage dumps - things like that.) Take some time to really put thought into your video and find a location which is unique to your area.

:balance: As far as sending us your footage, one way works easiest for Sennyo and I. Please use http://www.ge.tt/ (or any other sufficient file-storing website)to upload your video, and then send the link of your uploaded video to Casualarcane@gmail.com. Please DON'T send us any video uplaod links on Facebook; it will be lost, I promise you. (it's happened once already) This method insures that all videos get sent to ONE location. Our goal is to not have anyone left out this year; please help us.

:balance: All uploaded footage must be within 1-3 minutes in length. We don't want to sift through 10 minutes of footage on one submission. If you need to send smaller clips, that's fine. Just send them all in one email. Also, know that every second of your submitted clip can, and may, be used in the final video. We try to look for the most unique and well-executed moves of each submission so bring out your best stuff! We want it in the video!

:balance: When sending your video, please remember to include the name in which you'd like to world to see you as and your location (At least your country). For example: Riel Green; Maine, USA (or just USA). That simple. A good way to send it is have the file your sending named as such. For example: Rielgreen-MaineUSA.mpeg or something similar.

:balance: Only contact juggling! We don't care how you do it, but please do not add in other props.

:balance: Proper lighting is sometimes overlooked when recording. We want to make sure everyone watching can see how amazing you are! Remember to film in a well-lit area.

:balance: Biggest thing to remember!!...Have fun. This is a chance for all of us, regardless of skill-level, to show off what we're working on and to be as creative as we want to be. Thousands of people from all around the world watch these videos; what do you want them to see?

Some things for us to discuss: (That I can think of..)

Due Date: Last year, the due date was extended closer to summer to allow more chances of filming in the sunshine. The decision turned out pretty well but we were still recieving submissions well into July. As far as being able to edit goes, the summer is a pretty iffy time for Senn and I; Things start getting crazy for us around mid-June. June 3rd is the first sunday in June. That gives you five months from today to think, plan, play, and record. Does that sound reasonable to everyone?

Music: Module has provided his tunes for the last two videos and I don't see any reason to change that this year. I plan on geting in touch with him soon, but if anyone has other suggestions for uncopyrighted music, feel free to put them in this thread. Sound good?

It was nice to see people exploring a little bit more in last years video but it would also be nice to see more multi-ball and dance-y stuff. ^_^

Last years video was just shy of 15 minutes. I plan on this year's being just as long, if not longer. Youtube has allowed the Contactjuggling.org youtube channel to go past the normal 15 minute time-limit so there's a chance the whole submission could be one super-long video but if we run into any complications regarding length, it's possible there will have to be a "part 1, Part 2, etc" for the video.

We got some big names in the 2011 collab and I hope to get the same and more this year. You can help out by pestering your contact juggling friends who have gone into hiding to come out and film themselves.

Well, I suppose that is it for now. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Let's make a badass collab video together!!!
Peace

Cool! I'll try and think of something original for it, by then I can go out early morning in Shinjuku and film somewhere nice without it being dark or too cold!

Yay! I'm in! ...and this year I will not accidentally leave my 100mm acrylic in the field in which I filmed only to return later to find it was gone.

Oh, I'm in too.
I was watching the previous two videos over again, and there is not a single performance in either video that doesn't give me the desire to improve more. I hope I can get something good.
