I suppose it's sort of similar to singing for your supper.

At any rate, I've got this extra invite to a particular music sharing forum that's added immensely to my wealth of music, and I want to give it to someone here on .org, so I figured "why not make this into a contest to spur the making of more manipulation videos?".

So what's the story on this music forum? AKA: Why should I bother?:

It's a really excellent community for music hounds run by the music hounds, sharing their finds of ALL genres.
Simply put: If you can think of it, you'll either find it posted somewhere already, or someone else will most likely have it, and will kindly post it for you upon request.
While it's a wonderful resource for finding specific things you may have already been nosing about for, I've come to find that its real magic is in using it to find things you'll enjoy, but never thought to look for.
Not much beats broadening your horizons, and this will certainly help you do it.

For those wondering, there are no catches. No entry fees, or any other such nonsense.
It's a free resource, merely limited to members, and invites are doled out for us to share with others only every so often.

Okay, I'm in it to win it, but how do I begin it?:

You don't have to be the most skillful, nor the most innovative, neither need you be the most artistic about it to come out on top here.
In fact I'd much rather everyone not stress out over if their moves and/or cinematography were turtley enough for the turtle club, or whatever it is that folks tend to worry about when submitting video of themselves in action.

Simply grab ANY prop (or a few should you choose), a camera, AND JUST HAVE FUN!!!
That's it. That's all. Nothing more.

However if you're that weird kind that absolutely must have things like instructions, artistic direction, an actual challenge, or otherwise have trouble coming up with ideas on your own; then I suppose you could always try playing with a prop you've never tried before. Maybe (ab)use something that wasn't intended to be a manipulation prop.
Otherwise, simply do your thing.
Just make sure you have fun playing with whatever it/they might be, or you will be mauled by an angry mob of guinea pigs... No pressure.

What's the deadline?:

Posting of videos will open on September 18th, but you have until September 20th at the latest to get your video posted in this thread.
