Hi!

Just wanted to stop by and quickly introduce myself! I am sadly very very new to all of this. New to forums, new to cj, new to just... all of this. I'm 17 and live in KS. Found out about contact juggling just this weekend. My girlfriend took me to our local Ren. Fest. for the first time in my life [once again sad, I know] and I saw this amazing woman cj'ing while bellydancing and fell in love! Bought some wooden practice balls (was all I could afford at the time) nd haven't put them down since! I love bellydancing and have since I was a child. It's been a passion passed down for generations in my family. I love poi as well! And I hope to learn more. Thanks for reading and I hope too meet some new friends!

Peace!

Yay for more Kansans! I'm one of the fellas the worked the shop. You may or may not have seen me. Bright orange pants

Anywho, welcome to the site. Wherebouts in KS are ya? I'm about 30 minutes east of Wichita.

I think the girl your talking about would be the wonderfully beautiful Natellia. She was dancing/cjing for the sidhe drum tribe

Thanks!

And sorry I can't quite remember. I was a little focused on trying to not look like as much off a dumbass as I felt. Plus my girl was having a hella intense migrane. I felt bad. I have family in Wichita and Newton! I live about 20-25 minutes from downtown KC,KS.

And yes that was her!! I was talking to a girl that was selling their cd's and I wanted to buy one so bad but was more tempted to buy the cj balls. And I remember her saying a name that sounded like that. I have a terrible memory.

So Natellia is a bellydancer? I have to talk to that girl (and see vids of her). She seems awesome! I'm bellydancing too (tribal and tribal fusion) and trying to fuse bellydancing and cj'ing for weeks... (not too good with stands so it's very difficult). yeah! More dancer!

Btw, welcome around

Often when I dance, I fall on my belly...

But seriously, welcome to the fold! Hope you have fun here, Ttareq!

I dont think it was technically bellydancing, but it had some elements in it. Looked cool though

Ttareq: Thanks! I'm glad you were inspired to take up CJ! Come back next year and show us what you've learned. (and we'll have poi spinning next year too!)
And welcome to all of this...stuff.

Well I'm not actually a bellydancer...yet. ^^ I just pretend that I am, and have enough other dance training to look decent. (I'm going to begin tribal fusion lessons soon though).

tribal fusion is awesome! I just simply love it

It's my favority type of bellydancing. If you have good basics in dance, it shouldn't be to hard to pick up. And with your cj'ing skills, body isolations shouldn't be a problem either!

It most certainly does! What's sad is that I took so long coming across this. Wish I'd learned about this a few years back. Better now than never.
