Matrix Rolls – A body roll in which the ball travels from above the arms, under one or both arms and returns to a point above the arms.

Yes/No/Maybe?

The rest will be up when Youtube finishes processing them. They are all pretty sloppy because [insert lame excuse here]. So it’s not really my fault.

These tricks are amazing.
Attempting them myself however is doing nothing but pissing me off.
Watching and emulating isn't getting me anywhere with these.

Any tips on getting the ball to twist around one's arm like that?

1.) Stretching is by far the biggest help. I’m still not flexy enough to do any of these smoothly.
2.) Don’t over do it with the practice. Know when to stop. As strange as it may seem, to think of contact juggling as dangerous, know that this move can be. Overworked abdominals, oblique’s, and lower back muscles get pretty damn sore when they tighten up. And have fun moving at all when you pull one. And not knowing when to stop working on these moves was a MOJOR contributing factor in the herniated disk I got last year.
3.) Find a stall point on your chest, and a stall point around the middle of your back. Then work on rolling from one point to the other.

Your name was the first thing I noticed when I logged on this morning. I kinda suspected it was you.
Welcome! There’s a lot of really cool stuff going on here right now. I think the new Wiki thingy they put up, is gonna turn into a really helpful resource soon.

Very awesome, if i could get my camera working I'd show kind of a variation i fooled around with which involves catching it in your underarm

But definitely helpful vids, thanks!

That was absolutely spectacular!

my question of the day: what sort of stretching do you do for rolls like this, and do you use more passive or active stretches? (like isometrics)?

Nice stuff, man.
Really like variation #2. It'll all be insane once you've gotten it all down super smooth. Thanks for sharing.
