If there is any way you can hold on to your money until you can get to a juggling convention, you are more likely to get balls wayyyy cheaper there than in the shops (plus you'll have a great time at the convention!).

I've NEVER bought an acrylic from a shop!

You're lucky that way for sure. No conventions anywhere *near* me. :-/ But at least there are some decent online deals to be had if one looks.

I would far rather go to a convention though. You folks always look like you're having so much fun. ^_^

That really depends on each shop. ;P Doesn't hurt to ask if they offer any sorts of discounts, but I doubt you'll get anything for just four balls.

Where are ye looking to buy them from? You should probably be able to get a set for around $80, rather than £80. The biggest problem is shipping because of how heavy acrylics are, so if you can find a place near where you live, twould be best.

it's a difficult one for shops, theres not a lot of markup(hence room for discount) on acrylics, and jugglers tend to buy in multiples of at least three or four anyway, so 'bulk discount' isn't usually available until you're buying 8 or 10.

it's always worth an ask though.

UK online shops:

http://www.firetoys.co.uk/juggling/clear_acrylic_contact_juggling_balls.html
http://www.jugglingballs-u-like-r-us-direct.co.uk/contactus.htm <--gotta love the name! A manufacturer that also supplies shops

After the collapse of the dollar you can get very good deals by buying from Canada or the States.
although not as good as it will look at first because you will get hit for expensive shipping and customs on the way into UK.
