And that show "how it's made" came on! They showed the acrylic ballmaking process, which I thought was rather cool.

I had ripped that acrylic section onto my PC. its 50meg iirc, I would upload it again, but am on dial up, I did upload it before so perhaps someone else still has it and would re-up it if there is enough interest.

i don't think it showed extrusion though. iirc that is how the rods EL uses to cut balls are made

A few months back, I sent in the idea for them to cover it. I wonder if that was why they did it? Nah... probably not.

And I didn't even get to see the episode.

It was cool. I have been trying for some time now to find someone that would be able to suspend a rose into a 4 in acrylic sphere. But each try so far the rose was not able to hold up to the heat and pressure. (thats what they said)

And now I know why.

i think that suspending something inside a ball make the effect of a floating bubble disappear...

even when there's a little scratch on it that effect disappear,

but i've never tried to CJ with a ball that has something inside, so that's just my opinion

I agree with Nagini.

I have a crystal ball with a pentagram inside. it was awesome for all of five minutes, then the novelty wore off.

I prefer illusion over gimmick.

I remember when I watched the show I was very excited! Then they ruined the lovely acrylic sphere by putting globe designs all over it! D;
