Silver, thanks for explaining your position. I get where you're coming from. As I mentioned to someone else, it's fine if people don't like all the same stuff, especially if they give reasoned, non-judgemental explanations as to why.

If we all liked the same stuff, it'd be creepy. ^_^
The thing that annoys me about that chris blis video is how ugly his body movement is. On a forum where we see the likes of ElsieDee and Ryan regularly mixing amazing dancing with juggling it does look like Bliss is just twitching around in some sort of fit.
Well that's definitely true. My main deal was that he stayed on beat and didn't drop anything. I SO can't do that. Graceful? No. Fun to watch for someone who's not used to seeing it (a.k.a. me) Sure.

Mr. Thorn….
My sincere apologies…..

Thanks to the intertnet..and this fourm…as well as my lack of skills in using it…
You completely miss-understood my point.

When I used the term ‘You’
I meant you, as a well established and respected member of ‘This Forum.’

The fact that you were inspired by a toss juggler…..that is less than impressive to those of us, who have seen better, is in No means a slight against you.
On the contrary.

We find inspiration, in many places.

Mr. Moschen finds inspiration in Nature……
The way a wave crashes on the beach.

I found inspiration in Moschen….and the work that he did……

Many people found inspiration in the work that I did there after.

And it’s not a single line.
It never is…

Look at Jose…
The Only Golden Chicken

He went on to experiment with a combination of toss and contact……
And became rather famous for it.

Yes I have been around for a very long time….

But if you look deep into the archives of this site…when I was once one of the Administrators.
One of the FIRST administrators.

You will find that I was adamant about this forum being a friendly place…
No bad mouthing…no talking down to new-bees.

I was very strict about that.
And when someone came on and got rude, I was right up there telling them that they needed to stand down.

Unfortunately…you took my posting as rude….
For that I am sorry…it was meant to be quite the opposite.

I considerer ‘You’ to be a valuable member of this Community.

And if you are impressed by Chris Bliss…..then Mr. Bliss has done his job well…

And perhaps…that inspiration will take you far….and we will see the results.

And be inspired by Mr. Thorn.

You say that you are only just beginning…….but your potential is unlimited.
And whatever inspires you is not only a plus for you…but a plus for the juggling and performance Community as a whole.

That Was My Point!
And it was Never my intention to slight, or speak down to you….

Btw......

Thank You Silver.

As you said...I can speak for myself.

But I Appreciate you watching my back.

Oddly enough Thorn…
One of the main reasons why that posting was worded so poorly, and consequently miss-understood.. is that I’m right in the middle of an on-line exam for the Military…and I thought I’d take a brake… and rest my brain.

Which is why I wasn’t able to answer it as quickly as I would have like to.

But I lost sleep over the fact that Thorn thought I was being a prick…
And didn’t care a lick about the fact that I missed a question on the parameters of an AN/VDR-2 Radiac……

Something that I need to know inside and out…..something that could keep me, and my unit alive….

Strange….. that I would place that in front of the other….

But Stranger things have happened....

I find his body movement and facial expressions the best bit actually - reminds me of a drunk dad at a wedding doo.... 'give them balls to me son, ill show ya 'ow its done lad....'

Hes very reminiscent of a conductor or piano player, you can see the vibration and energy of the music jolting through his body and into the balls. Anyone that plays the piano can tell you, when you're passionately playing a piece it feels like you've become a conduit for a wild energy that you have tame and channel, i see that in his performance. Jasons juggling tho, wow doesnt even compare! Respect to both...

Jeez Ferret, it was all a bit tense there! Whew!
