So you know that there are various form of contact in juggling, so i do cj and a bit of contact staff, and a few days it gave me some motivacion to explore another forms just to see what form could i mix with cj with a ball. So i thought conontact juggling rings, and contact devil sticks. So with a ring it is easy to imagine how could we do it, and with devil sticks use your hands instead of the sticks.
So my question is, do you were can i find information, videos, tutorials (would be interesting) about this? Im not interested in tossing rings or sticks just in contact these instruments.
I know you tube seems to be a good place to search but i found few videos on these two types, saw a video of Hector Jimenez with a simply beastiful routine with contact rings and ball, and saw some guy doing contact sticks, but he was very fast so a bit dificult to catch the moves.
Still i will try to search this by my means, surely it could be a pure form of learning, but hey a few hints could put us on the right track.
Thanks
=) |

So it may not strictly be contact but for fascinating object manipulation you should check out the Visionbot series:
http://www.visionbot.com/?option=com_content&task;=view&id;=21&Itemid;=39
Scary download size but episodes 1 and 3 are well worth it. Another scary download and mainly toss juggling but check out Addicted as well:
http://www.circuspla.net/addicted/
For contact staff MCP's website is really helpful, nice clear tutorials: http://meghan.tepookatoys.com/
I think a lot of this comes down to improvising, playing around and experimenting with different props and seeing what you can find. _________________ Now all gatherymost to amuse it and have a tilty elbow or a nice cuffle-oteedee - Oh Yes!

Sometimes at work when bored I try to contact a wide roll of masking tape, and this has got me thinking about tube contact, a clear tube about 4" in diameter and about 3 - 4" long. |

I keep looking at my sons glow in the dark Magnitex and think hmm semi ball shaped frame contacted, falls on floor just quashes and needs rebuilding.
I'll have to have a try sooner or later, managed to butterfly the bottom of a bowler hat. |

I'm especially curious with the tetrahedron stuff.
Is it this ???
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Tetrahedron.gif
Maybe it could be featured in some hypothetical Christmas video ? Or a new OCCJD vid ? _________________ If rabbits could talk they would take over the world |

Porcubrine many thanks on the links, the staff i already knew. The other ones have a very interesting work, the swedish ones, very creative.
I do contact staff also, but wanted to explore more toys that for me are funful to contact. I saw a guy on you tube doing a great stick contact here : http://uk.youtube.com/user/burnonedown2day , i think he wouldnt mind. In terms of ring work i aprecciate in one way the work that furet i think and others are doing, but i saw a work of hector jimenez, kinda mixing cj with contact rings and that kind of flow is more into my taste. Go to this link, its more mixing dance contoursionism butoh and juggling : http://www.jonglorsion.com
I do apprecciate contact club, but i could do it just for the fun, but to do a more personaly play i would choose other toys.
day dream you say contact tetrahedron, i can imagine movements, but tell me how do you do it? Playing with geometric formas could be interesting, kinda remake of universe playing and all.

Sensei Strange does some cool contact with a deck of cards. He's getting really fluid at it I'm sure that there's probably a million things that could be contact juggled with....I guess it's just figuring out which ones are worth the time and effort... _________________ http://www.myspace.com/illumilatte
