Isn't is amazing when you practice and it just feels sooo good!
With the arrival of my lemon jelly cd, i got all excited and thought of brizzle and so, dimmed the light down, drank some cider, sat on a big cushion on the floor, put the new cd on the hi-fi and cj'd for the first time in front of a mirror. and i have had possibly the best contact juggling session ever it feels so good! I've had such a nice play. Can't believe how much of a difference practicing in front of a mirror can have. seeing what i have been doing already and trying new things. wow that felt good!
just thought i would share

*fights back urge to make innuendos*
No I won't.
I think I know what you mean anyways but I'm also a little jealous! Feel like I'm in a bit of a rut at the moment not learning anything.
I'm not a mirror person myself. I find that it's another thing to concentrate on and I start screwing up. Each to his or her own though eh? |

I've never played with my balls in front of a mirror. Part of me thinks I should, I bet I would get a lot better if I could see what my balls were doing
EDIT: sorry.....I have no innuendo resistance power.... _________________

I've actually never used a mirror. Mostly because a whole bunch of crap is piled in front of it. Hello? Mirror! Are you in there? _________________ I'm here to kick ass and play card games

Yep, I've been thinking about moving the mirror in the cellar to somewhere I could actually see myself when practicing.
And you're right about new music to cj to...makes a huge difference.
I guess I'm gonna spend the whole winter down there with my ball... _________________ Perhaps all pleasure is only relief. ~William Burroughs

I spent three years (on and off obviously) in front of a mirror in my cellar.
It was very educational... I also did some contact juggling.
I too have no innuendo resistance power. _________________ Sausages and plants and goldfish |

lol
I have to stay away from my big mirror. I have a snake in a glass terrarium about 4 feet in front of it and the poor thing is a sphere magnet. _________________ And like a rubber ball, I come bouncin' back to you. |

In answer to the original post: Yes it does!

why obviously????
I like mirrors.
i don't have a huge mirror anymore:(
fortunately my new juggling club (in stoke on trent, whoo) has dance studio type mirrors. yay!!!!
on another note i've recently moved to stage balls owing to the 6ft aquarium thats taken over my living room, I don't want to ever see a tank/acrylic collision. I suspect the tank will win, but i'm not up for testing. _________________ ...create pointless acts of beauty. |

Well, I suppose most of us practice outside in summer, right? (maybe that's the reason for this "obviously"...I wouldn't spend all summer in the cellar...*g*)
And....I haven't got a mirror in my garden.
It was so nice to have mirrors in Taekwon Do training...it makes a HUGE difference...it must be the same in contact juggling.
I'm not sure if the tank would win...I've seen a guy smash his aquarium with a dumb bell...and he just *touched" the glass... _________________ Perhaps all pleasure is only relief. ~William Burroughs

The Hennem has just been putting a new slidey floor down and has aquired a large amount of mirrors...
Watch out, the Henmeister may be stepping things up a notch.
I'll keep tabs on him... _________________ Sausages and plants and goldfish |
