sorry, briney, i didn't realize what you mean exactly (maybe my english is not so good):
you want pictures of a hat, but what kind of hat (a hat is something you put on your head, right?)? is it a hat of yours or what?
and what you mean with "obscure location"?
if the location is too dark, the picture will be all black...
let me know, so i'll see if i can help! |

I'm posting a hat of mine around the world, I want it to get to some strange and varied locations...like Milan for example!
So the hat is off to it's first location, unceremoniously handed to the nice man in the post office. Godspeed little hat, Godspeed. _________________ Now all gatherymost to amuse it and have a tilty elbow or a nice cuffle-oteedee - Oh Yes!

Dizz, to answer your question, 'Quid' is a slang term for Pound Sterling.
Like Dollars get called Bucks...
Briony, Would you like pictures of lots of different people wearing the hat, or just the hat in several locations? _________________ With practice, You too could be like Ryan Mellors... |

we used to use it for irish punts too, but now we have euro, the only slang we have for that is yoyo and thats just crap. euros are handy though you dont have to change your money so much when you travel and everythings cheaper everywhere else so you dont feel like you've been jipped. ido miss pound notes though, ah nostalgia. _________________ skyhooks

why not take a few, the more the merrier I reckon. Hat on people, hat on things, hat near things break out the originality and I'll keep you updated with how the journey goes. So far North America looks pretty much covered and I should be able to get it to Africa and quite possibly South America as well.
Europe needs to be covered though, anyone out there? _________________ Now all gatherymost to amuse it and have a tilty elbow or a nice cuffle-oteedee - Oh Yes!

Colin is soon going to Berlin, and Jeanine lives in Switzerland...
Ryan & Dawn = Canada...
I have a friend or two in Brussels that might be willing to help out...
My housemate when I lived in Spain is Slovenian... I'm sure she'll help out...
and you can hit up HomeofPoi for the australians, too... _________________ With practice, You too could be like Ryan Mellors... |

I'm guessing that you're a man who likes a project right Ed? These are all excellent suggestions and once the American leg is finished, I'll have words about some of your connections.
Hmm Australia why not? Once the journey has some mileage I'll check it out .Do you happen to know anyone in Antarctica so we can get all the continents covered? _________________ Now all gatherymost to amuse it and have a tilty elbow or a nice cuffle-oteedee - Oh Yes!

Oh, and not forgetting my friends in Spain...
Jeanine has friends in India... Bluecat's Girlfriend (Ros) is currently in India... (get the hat to asia)
I have a feeling that this gift won't be presented for a very long while...
As for antartica... I'll go speak to the Penguins at the nearest Zoo... or, you can find the address of any sort of camp there, and send it to them with a note explaining what's going on. I'm sure they'd be willing to help out.
I reckon we can send this hat on a really good trip.
Always remember that there are Jugglers EVERYWHERE, and more often than not, they're very willing to help out a fellow juggler. Especially if it involves something silly, or fun. _________________ With practice, You too could be like Ryan Mellors... |

Maybe Sonya (from EUJS) can get it to Beijing.. and Russia? Near enough her whole family works for the BBC world service, they're all over the place - remind me when it's home from America and I'll have a word. |

wahay this is properly taking off now. At the moment I'll say that any opportunity that I can get to send this hat somewhere I will probably take, so if people could possibly send a few politely worded e-mails here and there to get things underway that'd be lovely.
This needs to sort of run efficiently (I know asking jugglers to be efficient is a sort of oxymoron, but we're contact jugglers dammit, buck the trend) so if I can have the route planned in advance that's be great, also if we can get the hat moving quickly that'd be great as well.
Obviously get the photos that you want to take but ideally if you could post it on within a couple of days, with a week being the very maximum (unless you have a really special picture planned). That way the world tour can go ahead as planned.
I'll set up a new flickr account and pass the details to anyone who has photos to post that way we can keep them all in one place and my brain doesn't explode. Plus it'll be easier to peruse them all at once. _________________ Now all gatherymost to amuse it and have a tilty elbow or a nice cuffle-oteedee - Oh Yes!
