An Isolation is where the ball appears to float, get stuck, or defy gravity in mid air, while the performers hands and body move around the ball is various ways. Dance and body popping also appears frequently within Isolationism, but they are also their own genre of contact juggling. Enigma's, Palm Isolations, Squeeze Ups, Gripped Isolations, are all examples of fundamental isolations. Once isolated, the ball can be pushed, pulled, blown, forced, levitated, rolled, dropped, or rotated in any direction, with any combination of technique. Good balls for Isolations are 100mm stage balls, 90mm-100mm acrylic balls.
