I unfortunately couldn't obtain my original post, because with their forums, if they've denied a post [because they apparently have to have moderators view every post before they allow it to be posted, an insane gesture in my eyes] there is no way to get it back. But the long and short of the post was that I: Had a Mac that died. Had someone at my work "fix" it. And turns out, they created more problems. But I will say, my original post was long and very detailed speaking of how I legally obtained my Mac and software from a company I used to work at, who were, certified Mac dealers. The problem I didn't realize I would have, was that our "Mac Guy" never gave me the serial numbers for the software he installed on my computer, leaving me the only options of either A) re-purchase the $200 software-- THAT THEY DON'T SELL ANYMORE or B) Go online and try to find a serial number that would work. I did the latter. Of course. Having done EVERYTHING legally up to this point, I went to load songs I wrote that I hadn't heard in 5 months, and the songs were the equivalent of a train driving on only segments of rails, all the while missing 6 wheels. The program was missing sound files, plug-in effects, presets, the whole nine yards. This is where I went to the forums for help. And heres where this email, and my response, come in: "info@logicprohelp.com Hello BriManeely, You are receiving this notification because your topic "Oh the problems I have.." at "Logic Pro Help" was disapproved by a moderator oradministrator. The following reason was given for the disapproval: The reported message does not fit into any other category, please use thefurther information field. Hi, Sorry, but this post solicits information on how to improve on an illegally obtained software installation." This then warranted my response. "I am disappointed, I was looking forward to being a part of your forums and broadening my horizons with Logic, but this elitist viewpoint is completely uncalled for. All I was looking for is help, and you've turned a blind eye on someone who paid for the computer and software through a certified dealer; The fact that he never gave me the serial numbers shouldn't be enough of an issue to ban my post. Its unfortunate that you seem to be roping me into the same category as someone who went about everything illegally and was hacking left and right to get every program, hijacking everything on the net for their own ignorant necessity. In closing I ask you, with all great confidence, how certain you are that every single question you've answered from all of the members that pass through your forums were using "legally obtained software"? In my view, you've only helped the dishonest ones."" ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Uncalled for on my end? Perhaps. But I think it was all in good form. What are your thoughts? And also-- Anyone on here know Macs well enough to help me?
