So yeah...cant believe there is not a thread on this yet in the "Other Props" section. So here we are.

I'm a big fan of single hoop work but after a few recent videos that have come out im liking 2 hoops as well. I even brought in my 2 hoops to work so I can take a lunch break and play around with stuff.

this is my short playlist on the subject http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL ... re=mh_lolz

and these are the 2 videos that really have me inspired at the moment :D

What up with those isohoops eh? Who else is playing with them? what are you working on? whats got you inspired?

:D Iso hoop :D I've been working with mine pseudo-regularly since Camp Fire. I'm getting a 2nd one soon.

My biggest inspiration is probably Tiana's "mini-hoop tutting"

So after only 5 days of dedicated practice for 30 minutes a day I ended up performing with my isohoop on Saturday. It was a lot of fun.

I had to improvise because the crowd was 360 degrees around me. I think I did well. I got a lot of positive crowd response and had a couple people come up to me afterward and say they really liked it. But I could still use some input. Are there any recommendations anyone has for performing isohoop or something similar to a crowd that is all around you. I used linear isolations to turn 180 and some z-spins for 90 degree turns.

What are other people's feedback?

Hey guys, how would you choose the size of your isohoops? I might buy a couple from HoP, but they come in 500, 600 and 700mm, knowing that I'm myself 1800mm tall (1.8m)? :p

Also, is there any place selling isobatons, or is making them yourself still the only solution?

Thanks!

I'm just a tiny bit taller than you and I use 600mm for 2 hoop work and the 700 for one hoop. I may be on my own with the 700, I've never met anyone who uses one this big.

When I first started I used 600mm, but when I bought the 700 I knew immediately it was right for me, and now would not change back to 600mm. I'm very thin with quite long arms though.

Here's how the 700mm looks with me (1.83M). All my hoops are from Home of Poi, feel free to use Nik7 as a promotional code!

I have been playing with 2 isohoops lately. I believe I have these http://www.oddballs.co.uk/aluminium-iso ... -3504.html they are 50cm. I am also 1.83m and I like 50cm because it lets me comfortably do 1 or 2 hoop isolation work.

Ooooh! Nice Elsie!

Short and sweet, but I like the direction you are going!

anybody? I've literally have to replace my hoop routine last minute because of bad audience placement. the whole piryokopi team was scratching out heads on this one and we could not figure it out. my best guess is you still have to work mindlessly hard on detailing the isolations from the side.

Thanks Bri, I've got a fair bit of footage like this, somewhere on one of my hard drives there's a similar version to this except the sky is scrolling through all the colours of the rainbow behind me.

This was filmed from about ten feet below the ledge I was standing on. The ledge itself was only about 12 inches wide with the ten foot drop right in front of me, and a mere 4 foot drop behind me. Not the most creative location to film when safety was the biggest thing on my mind

Freaky, Elsie. Freaky.

I'm not a big fan of heights, so that would make me jittery for sure!

And for you folks on the other end of the spectrum, Poki is great to watch for a combo of fun entertainment and deadly accurate skill.
