Working on: avoid dropping :)

I've recently bought a 90mm acrylic and i'm trying to do a slower palmspin. The ball is quite isolated, i can do the palm spin with both hands, but i noticed that i move the hand faster when the ball goes from the pinky to the thumb.
There's no easy way to control it, because there's no fingers there  and i haven't any idea of how correct this.
Any advice?

Yep, stop isolating.

Learn finger rolls and finger waves first. (Plenty of Youtube tutorials on those moves)

Then learn to move the ball in a circle on your hand controlling it only with similar motions to the finger wave. The tricky back part of your palm is where the ball will be under the control of the pinky and the thumb.

To see how, look at your palm and wiggle your pinky... watch what happens to the little muscles at the back of your palm. Now wiggle your thumb and watch how the thumb base moves. Put a ball there and try to make it rock without tilting your hand - just by moving your pinky and thumb.

Keep at that until the circle is smooth and a consistent speed.

Now you can start isolating it.

Hope that helps...

Just lost my password, i had to register again :(

uhm, I'm currently trying to hold the ball with the pinky and releasing it when it reaches the point in the middle between the pinky and the thumb. If I do so, I can spin slower and with more control without trying to isolate the ball. I guess it isn't a good behaviour, isnt' it?

treat it as balances.

find as many balance points as you can.

Balance points = points where i can put the ball on where it stays without moving?
so the rest will be going to a balance point to another?
Is it what you mean?

you got it.

When the ball is sat on the floor not moving, it's balanced, innit.

Be the floor. :)
