Hey I have a friend who recently registered on these forums and he told me that he is blocked from every forum, and he cant see any posts or post for some reason. His username is: thetophatfirm
I know that he is in germany right now but i dont see how that would affect it. Anyway if one of you guys could fix this it would be awesome. Thanks in Advance

Also as far as i know he hasnt posted anything yet so he shouldnt have been banned lol

logs show that your friend made a new wiki user account on:

8 August 2011
(User creation log); 02:54 . . Thetophatfirm (Talk | contribs) New user account

That user account is active and should work to log in to the Wiki part of this site.
To log in to the Forum, your friend made his forum account on:
User statistics Viewing profile - thetophatfirm
Joined: Sun Aug 07, 2011 10:32 pm

His Forum account is also not in the banning list and his last logged in visit was: Aug 10, 2011 8:50 am

So also there it all shows fine on our end.
I would suggest to your friend to create new account if the current ones keep giving trouble.

Hello again,

I looked a little more at this prob and discovered this nifty feature that lets me log in as another user
So i logged in as thetophatfirm and could confirm that when he goes to the Forum index page all that is displayed is a message 'this forum has no message boards'.

I tweaked some settings, but that did not help.
I'm afraid this will need the help of en expert.
It's late now though so I'll google for it another time.

I have sent an email to thetophatfirm's hotmail to try to start to solve the issue.

I think this has happened to more than one person recently, I have heard this same scenario from one other person who was on the chat but couldnt see the forum. hopefully this gets straightened out.

I had a bit of a look into this yesterday. It looks to date from the 26th of July - there hadn't been any posts from new users since then. I tried to create a new account and got an error during the registration process. Although the account was created, the forums weren't visible.

The error I got was related to the bonus points field I created, although it appeared at the time I added the "what are you working on field". I added a default value of zero to the bonus point field, and that seemed to resolve the problem for new registrations, but not those who already encountered the error. I'm not sure why this became a problem.

After some messing around I got Brendenbear's account running again, but it's probably easiest for people to try and register again.

It seems as if "Ckonline" can't view any of the posts either, and they are apparently a new member.. Thoughts?

Ckonline joined a couple of days ago, before I fixed things. I'll try to see if there's an easy way to fix all the problem accounts, but it's probably going to be faster for people to register new accounts.

How about you delete the accounts that have been affected. On the registration page, make a note that there was a bug that made it necessary?
