Ok so I didn't sleep last night and then went straight into work at 6 this morning so this is one of those "oohhh look a pink bunny on my car!!" ideas/question. :ahhh:

Has anyone ever put diabolo and hoop together? Like trying to spin the diabolo inside the hoop like a track, or the outside for that mater.
I've never used a diabolo so I don't know if this is even plausible. The biggest issues I see would be the size of the area the rope usually rests on the diabolo being to small for the hoop, and keeping the diabolo spun up without the rope.
Like I said, random sleep deprived thought but I thought it was worth sharing. Now for a nap!

Ok, the sad thing is I only vaguely remember posting this earlier. Gotta love newborns!
It looks like a pretty interesting prop combination, though I hadn't thought about using them as pivot points for rings like that. It looks pretty limited so I suppose that's why it doesn't take. Cool either way, thanks for the vids.

I thought you meant hula hoop at first. Actually it would be interesting to see diablo combined with iso hoop.

That's what i'm thinking too, It would be more interesting with black juggling rings you can't see, at night with fire diabolo. i can picture some sleek isolations :p

When it first popped into my head what I had pictured was someone doing hoop isolations with a diabolo spinning on the inside track. Then moving to it resting on top, that kind of thing. The ideas are touched on in the above videos but never really the same as in my head. Then again things are very rarely the way you imagine them.
I was also thinking if you could do some of the throws I've seen people do with the diabolos and then land them on or in the isolated hoop someway that would look pretty intense. Something about the floaty, slow, stillness of the iso hoop and the faster paced diabolo coming together seems intriguing to me.
I haven't had a chance yet to poke around YouTube and see more of what people have been doing with the ring/diabolo combinations.
