Indeed Drew... I chose my wording carefully... ;) I didn't want to name it as such, because, well, even I don't know the propper name anymore. Ball contact makes sense to me, like the name contact staff, contact poi, club contact etc makes sense. the name of the prop, and the word contact (To me) shows that the prop is being manipulated by more than just the hands alone.

I think it is correct to say 'this is where Contact Juggling began', because it was this routine that caused Ernest to write his book.

However, we know that Moschen wasn't contact juggling. His work was exploring the kinetics of various objects, exploring a concept, not a prop, essentially.

ball contact and Palmspinning have yes, you're quite right, been around for centuries.

Moschen was, I believe, the first person to manipulate crystal balls in such a way. Am I right in saying he was the first person to create an illusion with these balls, an illusion other than: 'I'm seeing into the future'?

Hmmm.... Can of worms, anyone?

I hand the crown over willingly, I'm never gonna top that.

You'll be pleased to know.

MoMTV now has a channel for In Motion with Michael Moschen
video.ministryofmanipulation.com

Under Channel Guide - In Motion with Michael Moschen.

I'll get more of the show in there when I find them... soon we might have the full video!
