I made a butterfly tutorial for my youtube channel.
I really hope you enjoy it!
Is there any possibility to add it to the wiki?

Thanks!

There are english subs!

Great tutorial! I like that you're smiling throughout the whole video - positive vibes!

Very clear tutorial, as usual when they come from you :)
But there's one thing that I don't like about this one: You're almost gripping the ball when you "wipe" it from the cradle to your palm. I think the trick looks a lot better when you keep the hand/fingers flat and don't wrap them around the ball. It looks nicer and makes it easier to directly go into arm rolls.

Also, a little comment concerning your subtitles: English is not my mother tongue, but I've never heard the term "increase your domain in XYZ". It's clear (to me, at least) what you mean, but I don't think that that's correct English (native speakers, please correct me if I'm wrong :D ).

thanks for the feedback!

I get it, so, it'd be better to use something like "improve"... or do you have any other suggestion?

I'd say this is actually the reverse butterfly, there is a smoother and visually more appealing way to do it. Take the same figure 8 pattern but make the ball travel in the opposite direction. At the moment, you are leading with the ball and your fingertips, try leading from your elbow instead.

Here you go.

Basically if you took your butterfly clip and reversed it in your video editor programme you'd get the same result :D

I started by showing you how you are doing it (reverse) and then I changed direction afterwards. At the end I showed you what I mean about leading with the fingertips (reverse style) as opposed to leading with the elbow (forward style).

I remember the moment well when I realised I'd been going the opposite direction to most other people, and all of a sudden I was able to butterfly as smoothly as everyone else! I could never quite understand why mine always felt clunky.

wow! Thanks Elsie! I haven't noticed it!

But when I do it the other way I don't see a big difference... mine still a little 'choppy'.
