I did a couple of folding lines today...it's still incredibly far from perfect, but give me a few days and I may have it!

If you can get perfect lines in a few days I am going to shoot myself...

Okay...probably not perfect. But maybe decent!

I'm starting to get bridge rolls a little better...as in, to the point where I'm actually doing them every once in awhile.

Folding lines are very very very close. I'm managing decently smooth ones with no drops probably 6 or 7 times out of 10.

Okay, so nowhere near close to actually getting any of these what I'd call 'down' but today I managed for the first time the hand to foot roll I've been practicing that goes behind the back (first time without guiding it, anyway)...and was pretty happy about that alone, but then the mail came and with it my shiny (well not so much by now, I'm pretty hard on my balls and have already scratched it) new Jea9!!! With that I not only managed to do the bridge roll I've mostly been trying that goes into the chest roll, but also one that went into a BtN, and one that went into a figure 8.

Also did an accidental thing that I may have to try and work with now...was trying the Brunn roll (Ooh, which I also got a couple times with minimal guidance!!!) and accidentally twisted in a different way than usual, which made the ball go around my hip and down the front of the left leg instead of up the back.

So it's been a nice day thus far, juggling-wise! :)

I'm a bit confused.
I'm learning for an exam and thought a little recreative break would be nice ... so I picked up my stageball and played a bit around. It seems I've had a little breakthrough, nailing some chestrolls (yes, you've read correctly - chestrolls) and "Prayers". I mean - WHAT? I didn't even practice those moves! Why? WHY TODAY? I'M SUPPOSED TO LEARN, DAMMIT! :ahhh:

lol, It sounds like you are learning...Just maybe not the subject you were trying at. Stuff like that tends to happen sometimes...Every once in awhile I think, "Wonder if I can do such and such?" Then, as if the ball is taunting me, I do whatever it is perfectly smoothly...once. And then can't do it again for weeks.

That happens to me too. Especially during my final exams. I may not have done well on my tests but I would get that head stall down!

But only for that one week. Then it's back to "every now and then". It's a conspiracy, I tell you...

So you know my goal of trying to do the Brunn roll by the time I hit my 2 year contact juggling mark? Took a month, but as of Wednesday night, goal accomplished; with 2 months to spare! :D Finally can do it every once in awhile (without guidance, and without the ball falling off at the end of the roll).

New goal: Get it down consistently and smoothly!

I was practicing on my chestroll today, and I can make it go around about 70% of the time :D. I do have the habit of bringing my hand close to my body when trying to 'catch' the ball in my cradle. Is that normal and will it go away with more practice? Because, even though I focus on it really hard, I can't keep my hand where it has to be.

Nice, chestroll's essential :)

Yes, the off hand does all sorts of silly things when chestrolling, both the second hand during the first part and the first hand during the second part. Best solution: drill your chestrolls with your fingers and thumbs touching. Second best solution: put your first hand at your side as soon as the first half the roll's done.

I finally kinda did a bridge roll. I don't have the elbow stall down so they aren't very easy for me, but at least I understand the concept now.

I had a great time at juggling club. Discussed name origins, Mars exploration, and oh yeah... I hit a milestone.

30 catches at 3 ball toss! Yay!

Now to get it consistent!
