Maybe a bit different to everyone else seeing as I'm a body rolling whore, but to start with Okotanpe and stickman, after that luminous fractal/grateful juggler/Thierry/Kelvin/Kyle/Ryan.

Umm. A popularity contest, is this is good idea?
Surprised no one mentioned Francis Brunn yet.

Popularity contests are only a problem for peoples egos...it either wounds them (if the ego is big), or builds them (if the ego is small(er)).

Lance Coombes His video from Lodi (1997) was the first I ever watched, even before Labyrinth, where he did a 3b toss/contact routine way ahead of its time. His style and repertoire has informed my learning since the very beginning, and I wish it had more exposure.

Moschen Obv

Steven Ragatz Again, the blue ball routine was one of the first I'd encountered, and it's amazing and wonderful and other adjectives as well.

Stickman Woah. Elements is still the best body rolling video that has ever happened in the history of everything.

Ryan Kind of my superhero since I discovered there could be contact juggling that doesn't look like Michael Moschen.

You Dudes. By even being here, contributing to the community, you make this world a better place.

A guy at the Gaudi park in barcelona and Nimi (also in barca) were my introduction to CJ.

Then I started searching and watching a lot of contact jugglers.
My absolute favorites are:

- German: absolutely fenomenal!, the way he mixes some of the best Iso's I've seen with bodyrolls and other techniques is amazing and magical to watch (surpised nobody mentioned him).
- Okotanpe: suprise, eh!, his iso's and skills are unearthly, and besides that he's a great perfomer. His enthousiasm is great.
- Jago: I love his style, I love his iso's and I love his 'in isolation' routine, must have watched it at least 100 times .

I also love to watch Dimitri (fluid druid) and Elsie. Great performers!

doesn't juggling DB do a top ten jugglers list every year?
I think it would be interesting to see what changes year to year....
Inspiration is inspiration, that's enough to hold conversation.

Are you worried about elitism?

Just stressing again, this thread is about personal inspiration... subjective, temporal and ever-fluid and changing... not about who's da bestest in da woild. :D

A really hard one to answer.... I have to mention Kevin (aka, ThatBallGuy) and Kittie, since they introduced me to cj in the first place, plus have nice styles. I really like Kevin's flow. Rich Shumaker for being the first actual tutorial I had, plus he's got a great sense of humor. Of course Moschen for the sheer beauty of the art itself. Silver for giving the ball itself a personality more than anyone else I've seen I think. Elsie for creativity, beautiful isolations, dance. Michael Glenn for keeping it fun, and putting "play" in the foreground, which I find one of the most important aspects, having fun while doing it. And a whole host of others for inspiration here and there, I've learned stuff from veterans and newbies alike. But those are some of the first names that come to mind I guess.

At the moment, I would say my personal favorite that I've seen so far is Jea9. I really enjoy her body rolling. Body rolling is actually something I'm much more fascinated in than Isolations or multiball.

Well... Jea9, or David Bowie... But that's just because Bowie is a personal hero of mine (for more than just Labyrinth too).

Edit: Before I seem too ill informed, I am aware that it was Michael Moschen and not Bowie doing the contact in the movie.

i would say that my group of people that have inspired me the most and shaped a lot of my style are the people i have met or seen on youtube. but most of all i think it is the people that are on this forum that helped and inspired me the most.

CJO - He picks up ANYTHING you show him more quickly than anyone I've ever seen or taught.

Lirnyk - Another amazingly fast learner, with ridiculous spirals. The most memorable person we've introduced CJing to.

Shyft - The best contact juggler in the world -- and my husband :)
