Hey all!

I live in Switzerland. Does that mean I can only busk for half the year? I might have to migrate all the time I guess, but am I the only one to have extreme difficulty being flowy with isolations and butterfly variations when my fingers are cold? Is there a viable way to deal with cold fingers (some type of gloves?)?

Thanks once again!

-Jo

I deal with the cold by locking myself in my apartment and turning the heat up to 80...

I'm still working on smoothing out a few moves and getting an act or two together before I try busking, but I think that if I wanted to do it in the winter I'd just have to travel to somewhere busier. My town goes completely ghosty after Christmas for about three months, so even if I was brave enough to get out there in the cold there would just be no point to doing it here during that time.

Stageballs help.. but theres no way to escape the cold. You move inside in the winter, and practice smaller body rolls and isolations.

Hmmm, I wonder how feasible a bean-filled, microwaveable stage ball would be...

I got a turbo bounce ball second, from butterfingers at bjc. It was solid and unbouncy due to being cold...microwaving it for 20 seconds sorted that. I then discovered that a warm ball is much easier to headstall.

i've performed with fingerless gloves before, besides looking very stylish they help a little if its cold, but after a certain point even they can't do much for the finger-stiffening, not to mention standing out in the cold for a couple hours...sometimes I seriously consider moving to warmer climes for year round practice/work possibilities.
