Ok well I've got some new responsabilty as a mod now, and well this forum has been empty to long so I think its time to change that. A while back I sudgested in the general forum that we have a move of the month a few weeks later L7 started one Well L7 gave that up and well now that I'm a mod Im gona take it over. The first thing I wanna say is this really is'nt much of a compition I don't want people trying to out do each other I want people to help each other out learning new things... I also decided that one move a month is a little to little to do. So I've decided I will choose a few differnt moves each month now some of these will be real easy and some of them wont. I think though this month Im gona start everyone off with some fairly easy stuff, or at the least things usualy learned early on...

First move this month: Back Arm Chest Roll
You should be able to do this both ways if your going to make a video although if you really cant feel free to submit a 1 way roll
Move Discription: Start with the ball in the cradle either hand roll up the back of the forarm accrost the chest and down the other arm into that hands cradle.

Next move: The Circle
Once again be able to do this move both directions. And try to keep your fingers as still as possable.
Move Discription: Hands together at the wrist palms up or well slight faceing each other the ball should roll one direction up the hand hop accrost to the fingers of the other hand roll back down and up the first hand in a continuious pattern.

Final move: 3 Palm Cascade
This one requires 3 balls try to keep the clicking to a minimum if your filming this.
This is like the toss pattern to do this you should probobly be able to do 2 balls in each hand with out them touching. Pull with the thumb so thats clockwise in the right and counter clockwise in the left. I'm not sure how to give any better discription keep alternating the passing hand.

I will try to keep the moves of the month as differnt from each other as possable It should be one roll, one hand only move, and one palmspinning move. of varrying levels of difficulty. Rember the idea of the move of the month is not to compeate for whos best its to help each other learn these moves by shareing ideas and tips on them. I really hope this give every some sort of a skill boost even if you can already do these moves please dont dismiss this thread. Help those of us who cant do them so well figure out how we can improve. Thanks all =)

basically, hold 1 ball in 1 hand, and 2 in the other. palm spin the two balls, once (1 half rotation) so the ball on the inward side switches with the one on the outward side (ball one on thumb, ball two on pinky --> ball 2 on thumb, ball 1 on pinky). Next transfer the inner ball (the one on the thumb) to the other hand. Then repeat the one half rotation with that hand and pass the inner ball back to the other hand. the pattern should end up resembling that of the toss juggling pattern.

Oh yes, and make sure you spin one hand clockwise, and the other counter clockwise (which is which depends on if you want and inward or outward cascade) If you do both CC or both CCW, you will end up with something looking more like the circle toss patern.

Hope that helps.

k, i got all that down 'cept the 3 ball cascade. . . . no way in hell. see you in december!

PS good idea on multiple moves of varying difficulties. people should post/film variations to keep the challenge up throughtout the month.

i'm sorry to betray you funeralman, but the move of the month once again succeeded in being incredibly usefull: i didn't think i would ever get three ball cascade but i got it last nigth; both ways. it's still sketchy and the balls clinks a lot in my right hand (funny, i'm right-handed too).

thanks again for move of the month.

expansion: issolated cascade? that means you'd have to spin the one ball all around you hand, pausing the patern for a second, right? i was trying it. a little complicated, but how many people can do it?

expansion: back of the arm body roll ending in an out-side elbow stall. i've got this semi-mastered (1/2 of the time). go even further and then roll it back to the starting hand or even to the starting arm's outside elbow stall (1/4 of the time). feedback?

Ok, I got the palm cascade down. I also have the circle, but its not on video. As for the chest roll, I'm getting it pretty good right to left, but left to right is non existent. Here's my cascades, I included some isolations, and some variations of the cascade with four balls.

#1 check, both ways and very smooth...with a transfer to the inner arm to a reversal and back again (had to brag...you can shoot me now :P )

#2 sketchy, but check...kinda difficult with the non moving fingers

#3 check...one of the few 3 ball tricks I can do smoothly, since I've not got my 2.5"s in yet

good job on the moves this month cameron...something for everyone, and very useful for just about any situation. now if I just had my video software workin, I'd upload a little sumthin sumthin for ya'll to look at :(

I feel like I'm doing things backwards.... I probably do the circle the best, then the 3 ball cascade, and my chest rolls are weak.... everyone seems to have the chest rolls down but not the cascade!
