Pich, I bow down to thee and send my gratitude! This thread makes me very very happy and is helping to fuel my addiction :D

I really like the move you've added, it's sweet

I'm running a baton workshop at the rag factory tomorrow night, I've made a stock of batons for people to use. I should have done this months ago!

Here is mine for the week. I appreciate all the help you guys have been giving. I've got a ton to get used to and learn with these!

Elsie- When you said I did most of my video the wrong way around, it actually took me a bit to see what you meant! It's so obvious now, lol. Apparently, my "natural" direction is counter-clockwise. It took me reading and thinking about some of your descriptions you wrote last week to really realize that everything so far is meant to be clockwise from my point of view. That being said, for some reason, clockwise has thrown me completely for a loop and struggled for a little bit to even figure out how to do the moves in "reverse-to-me" direction. So strange how some things can make more sense in one direction and as soon as you switch, you lose it completely. BUT! I'm really glad to be forced to learn everything clockwise like I should be doing anyway!

To everyone - THANK YOU for all the tips. I've got a long list of details to work on already. I'm still working to play catch up with what has been already set in previous weeks. I'm trying to go through each move and read and focus on it. I still have a lot to shift through and look at in detail. Thanks for being patient with me and allowing such a newbie to play! I'll continue to work on all those little details in the coming weeks.

Since I feel a little lost at what to submit, I'm completely going off something that kind of feels right even though I don't really have much of any idea what I am doing. I hope you can at least see what I'm attempting even if I'm doing it completely wrong.

@Sennyo. Of course we can see what you are doing and there is nothing wrong. What i read after you switch to your move is:
a. left hand changes the rotation of the baton spin and doing a quarter of spinspin & right hand keeping the same rotation of the baton spin and doing a quarter of antispin.
b. left hand changes the rotation of the baton spin and doing a quarter of spinspin & right hand changes the rotation of the baton spin and doing a quarter of spinspin.
c. both hands keeping the same rotation of the baton spin doing half antispin & half spinspin, and keep it going.

hope this helps rather than confuses you.. :D

I did my move for this week two ways. One was an isolated spin and the other was an anti-spin. The move kinda has a mechanical feel and look to it. Like a ratchet tightening a bolt. Its fun. Hope everyone enjoys. I love the variety of moves that come out every week.

That looks like predictive text has changed my name! Honestly, you guys will do anything to get out of calling me Elsie :D

I gotta say, wooooooot! How many submissions so far this week!!! I'm super glad this is working so well.

Cory, your clocks move is still in the wrong direction

Sennyo, I'm almost tempted to say don't worry about the direction at the moment. It doesn't seem like a good idea to try to force you to learn your bad direction when you are new to batons anyway, and it may be more helpful if you just do the moves in the direction you are comfortable with so you can progress quicker and stay inspired! But, as you said, it's kind of good to force your bad side. This was my thoughts when I started this, eventually the direction will change and it will force everyone to learn their bad side.
What does everyone else think? Perhaps we could say that everyone has the option of copying exactly, or totally mirroring the leader?

Anyways, I'm going to post this link, it's Okotanpe's lessons on the basics of iso batons. It's extremely helpful, and spending just a couple of hours drilling these basics will be a massive help to anyone in the early stages of learning. Dizz, you too! I want you in on this!

So we've got about 12 ish hours to go before I make a decision, so anyone still wanting to join in *cough* Ryan, Pilolip, Grateful, Dizz You'd better be quick!

And if it's okay with everyone I'd like to change the rules a little bit. From now on, whoever's move gets chosen becomes the new leader AND they get to choose the new leader the following week, so every week we have a new decision maker. Does this sound like a good plan?

I would say my clocks move is the proper direction since from the audiences standpoint its moving as the arms of a clock should :D. But truthfully I never noticed I was doing it different. Time to drill opposite directions!

I like this idea, with this method I feel the difficulty level might skyrocket.

Gah! The combo between dialup and being busy is killing me. I can't keep up! I have a senior graduating next week and a mom coming from out of town. I'll see what i can do in a week or two.

I like the idea of the winner changing. That way, Elsie is a bit more free to submit and not worry about picking himself. :) Although, if the winner can't do it, it reverts to the previous week's winner.

Good, because it's you this time! Well done Yorgos, you win this week! It's a really sweet move. Again, I'd have been happy if anyone had won this week. Having tried them all I felt Congasious' move flowed really nicely. Pich's move messed my brain slightly but I sort of got it...

So, onwards and upwards! Congasious is our leader :D
