Here are what we are going to call the official categories for the 2011 Contact Juggling Awards... (we should get that trade marked) I have laid out what each category is with a sort, possible silly, description of what I will be looking for in each nomination. Depending on the number of nominations in each category, I may not include all of them, but I will try to be as fair as I can.

If you want to nominate some one, simply send me a PM with either the number, or name of the category and the nomination that goes along with it. Feel free to only do one nomination for a single category or make suggestion for all of them!

1. Best video (what ever that means to you, weather it includes the best juggler, it is the most fun, or your just not sure why but you like it)
2. Male contact juggler of the year (like highlander, there can be only one...Boy)
3. Female contact juggler of the year (like the powerpuff girls, there all amazing, but you know you like one best)
4. Noob of the year (some one who joined .org or started contact juggling within the last year that you feel deserves to be noticed)
5. Best teacher/tutorial (who was it in this last year that you learned the most from?)
6. Most helpful dot org member (who was always the first person to post just what you need to know on the forum)
7. Best Picture of contact juggling (got a sweet picture of you with a ball on your hand, or head, or heel? send it in!)
8. Body roller of the year (who is really pushing the limits of where they can roll the ball)
9. Isolationist of the year (who is really pushing the limits of how still they can keep the ball)
10. Multi-baller of the year (who can manage to grab the most balls and not let go of them while still managing to make them look nice)

Bonus question maybe for fun if it might work,
11.Ball of the year (got the best ball ever? be specific.)

I kind of wonder if we should post this list in another place, I feel like the online contest does not get as much traffic as some of the others and I would really like this to be a whole community effort type thing!

Hooping.org does it as a poll... everyone sends in their nominations and then everyone votes. That does kind of turn it into a popularity contest, but hey.

I am hoping that people on here wont invite there whole e-mail list of people to vote for them if they get nominated. I am also hoping that even if people do that there family members are discouraged by the fact that they would have to register. I am also thinking that many of the people who get nominated or even win wont even be members of this site

regardless, you should probably post the categories as a new topic since the important stuff is buried mid-page-2, and since i'm destroying this thread with offtopicness

Lol, I think this could be it's own Segment of the forums... So there can be separate threads for each category stickied?

How about one for improving the community and/or helping new people? Not necessarily teaching, but general stuff.

Edit: oops, missed that important post...
