Here is my last minute entry to week 2. After watching other people, I am starting to have a lot more fun with the Ratchet.

Circle to walking half pipe

Hello All you wonderful cjers. Great job on your submissions. I'm really impressed with how some of those little variations on the ratchet came into play on some of your videos. Because of that, this week will have a little challenge for this next week's submission. You guys know how to get creative! :D

This week's winner is: Frawg! Frawg submitted a rotating claw iso. ( I don't know an actual name for this move either! If anyone does, please post!)

Congrats, Frawg!!

Frawg's submission was a great follow up to the previous move. Simple enough for a beginner to learn but can be drilled even by a more seasoned cjer for greater isolation skills. The traveling ratchet of last week flows so nicely and naturally into this move. If this is new to you, watch frawg's hand movements closely. Once you have that figured out, the challenge is making it isolated. Thinking about the ball being stuck in space really helps. No, change that... BELIEVING that the ball is stuck in space, is huge. After all if you don't believe it, how do you expect the person watching you to believe it? :D The idea is to move your body in whatever way it needs to get the ball to stay isolated. Another big one for checking out how you're doing with a mirror, reflections, shadows, video, etc. In keeping to the similar feel for what has previously come, slower and controlled will make this look extra nice. And of course, the more skilled cjers already know that you can never practice your isolations too much.

*Next week's submission!!! Since we've just had a few moves that accommodate absolute beginners, we are still keeping to the idea of progression. So, the challenge for the week is to submit a move that involves the ball rolling on your hand in some way. There are a ton of moves and variations here. So, what you can immediately discount are things like stalls, arm rolls, isolations like enigmas, etc. If your move requires one hand or 2..palm or back of the hand, that's totally fine! Just so it involves hand rolling. Notice that I'm not mentioning any moves as examples and being mega general with my term just so I don't take away any options or steer it to only one specific way. I hope that makes sense.

You have between now and next Tuesday (Feb 14th) to submit your next entry. Your video should include:
1. Palmspin
2. Ratchet
3. Rotating Claw Iso
4. Your submission for what move you'd like to come next (which involves a hand rolling move)

Great job again on all the submissions. 2012 is really off to a great start! Remember that if someone wants to join in, they can at any time!

Cool, both moves so far that i liked most were chosen :D
This game is great fun and i really look forward to seeing what this will evolve to (or in...? my english sometimes)
So, even if we miss a few submissions, we may always catch up, right? If so, even cooler 8)

And that was my back up trick for this round! (well, technically now it's the previous round)

And I could have used the trick I used for this next round :( Oh well, I'll film something quick on Saturday probably.

Forgot to film mine yesterday, so I filmed it today in my dark room. I followed the rotating claw iso with a circle and what I call a half circle. The btn roll is optional.

Thanks guys, I'm hoping eventually to isolate those pinky flips to end up with isolated finger rolls on the backside of my hands... will be a sweet effect someday and mark, dam you and your huge.. skills... I think after watching your video that I am doing the rotating iso all wrong...
