But that is not the good news. This is the first time that I have really seen a positive first hand effect of fushigi. I got a gig teaching a workshop for some learning disabled children. The reason I got the gig is because she wanted my friend to teach juggling and other circus skills as a surprise for the students, and when asked what she wanted them to learn, fushigi was one of them!

So After all this time I wanted to say thanks to fushigi!

Congrats! If nothing else, at least fushigi got the word out that contact juggling exists

It's gonna take a lot of fushigi classes before they'll outbalance the effect on the stage and street shows we've thrown over the past two years. I know at least three performers now who've quit contact juggling because shouts of "Fushigi" derail their shows too hard.

Ugh, that must be the worst. The market has always been misleading but, in the case of fushigi, it's pretty much a downright lie. Still, I'm glad that it brought someone some fortune. It's about time :)

I have found that the only way Fushigi will derail my shows any more is if I let it happen. I think that we are far enough away from it now that if we focus we can really turn this thing around! I am tired of being negative about the whole thing. In terms of long term marketing the thing failed amazingly well, and although it caused some turmoil I think the worst of it is over. The people shouting it from audiences is not nearly as loud as it was a year ago, and even the people still holding onto it don't care nearly as much. I think that at this point the only power that fushigi really has is the power that we give it, but thinking it has power...but that is just my opinion, I know others will not forgive as quickly

That's a really good outlook on things. I agree that thinking has its own power. I do improv as well and I've noticed how the audience doesn't really care if you make a mistake or not. They know doing any performance in front of people is difficult. They only care if you either make it obvious or if you can shake it off, like it's nothing, and continue.

Unless the crowd is a very cynical group. Then, it's best to keep the car running :ahhh:
