seems to be a lot of dreaded and exdreaded out there. wondering how many are interested enough to answer a poll.
quite glad i don't have a dreaded picture of me, you'll have to settle for the long plait instead(somewhere in the gallery)

hehe im having issues! mine is dreading, not particularly tidy i dont think....and i am totally ignoring the fact, because i like it, but if i acknowledge it, then i will have to be sensible and tear it all apart and have it cut, because next year i intend to do teacher training. also being as i hate my job, ill be needing to go to job interviews as soon as i start applying for other jobs...so...im being completely irresponsible and liking its slightly wilder look without actually acknowledging responsibility for it. this also means i can't encourage it by twisting my hair...but also can't bring myself to destroy them. but ive had the *want* for years and im finally getting it out of my system. i doubt i will have 'proper dreads' for many years though, until ive been through the mundane working system and got off my arse and become an amazingly well known self employed and sought after designer

I've never been one for dreads, though my hair is getting pretty long. I should get it cut methinks.

i had dreads, i cut them when i saw a friend doing headstalls and i could but it was to easy because of the dreads, so i decided to cut them off... then i started practicing headstalls and you can stall the ball on your head at so many places that i like to play changing from stalls to stalls on my head

Pfft!!!!! I'm just jealous of those who have enough hair to have dreads. I've been balding since the age of 23 and now at 27 I have next to none.

@Kitsune_Whisper: bald cjers are best.

I have very long hair...BUT I also do have (and occasionally use) a comb.
Cjing is easier when I have my hair tied up with a cloth wrapped around in summer. I managed to burn my hair with an acrylic before.

I don't think I'd ever go for dreads...

i had dreads (a few years ago), but they're so uncomfortable!

i thought that, once you have dreads, you don't have to worry about your hair anymore...
but that's not true!!!
if you don't have natural curly hair, dreads tend to unite all toghether in one only big dread...
and when you go to the sea (on the beach), dreads tend to fill up with sand; when i cutted them (or better: it, 'cause they already became one only big dread) they where full of sand!!!

Yay I was the first person to vote 'has'!

Mine are about a year and a half, and I loves them cause I'm fidgety and
always have something to play with. Plus lots of people like to touch them too. So they make me happeh.
I usually where a toque when I contact so they dont really get in my way, head rolls are definitely out, but head stalls are made easier methinks.
My only gripe would be that they're at kind of an annoying length, too short to tie back but long enough to poke me in the eyes and blind me.

Kind of a bad pic, but the most recent I have.

^^ Nice guitar, galileo...

Are you gonna give us a song for your christmas tree video submission then

I had a mohican with the back half dreaded, my hair is curly and they grew really easily, ended up with three that stuck together but the rest were really nice.

When I cut them I found bits of carpet fluff in them.

mmmm, fluffy......

I'd have dreads again in an instant but it isn't good for my general image when performing, especially doing stuff like corporate (sell your soul) gigs.

But I find there is something really sexy about dreads. I love the way they look.
