Hey all

I'm practicing one ball palm iso since I started last year and am still working on it. I did a lot of slooooooow doooooooown work as beeing adviced but got bored of it and stopped when I saw some results coming and started to get something a bit visual.
At this stage I kept practicing it a lot but at my regular speed all the time. The palmspinning was a bit bumpy specially around the thumb place. i thought it as a detail and that it would shove of with time.

Then I re-slowed down. and Now it's gone, in 2 weeks !!!
months of work : no real result, then 2 weeks of slooow speed and that's it !
I never doubted that slowing was usefull, but that much ! I should have listened better. Would have saved months I guess.

So if it can help some even fresher Contacters than me with their palmspinning :

SLOW THAT BALL DOWN GODDAMMIT !!!

i know it's not the first time it's being said, but someone should have hit me on the side of the head everytime I kept speeding like mad.
That's it, I felt like sharing.

oh yeah, I almost forgot :
SLOW DOWN THAT CRAZY BALL

yep slow motion is the fastest way to learn.. naturally i started making this move anticlockwise.. and now im learning it clockwise... it sucks when you start learning this movemont and have to go slooooooooow, cause it wont move, until you start getting used to it... an vuala you learn the move in a short period of time

I repeat it's really not only me saying it, it's a word passing around the whole community and that one will hear and see written so many times. the problem is that it can be hard to do but improves your moves so much more than rushing like a madman... Rushing can seem helpful on short term but definitly not if you want to get the move solid.
I do a lot more of slow mo practice now and it seems that my body yells thank you .

yes yes yes... practicing all my tricks slow has helped performance speed dramatically. Plus, I'm amazed how much reaction i get from audience doing a lineup, then repeating it half speed, even simple stuff like a butterfly and hand circles

I've just recently began working on a 1ball palm iso, but how slow are we all talking about here? As slow as possible where we can still get the ball moving?

try as slow as you can.. if youre practicing at X speed, and you think you can practice even slower, then practice slower.... when you get even slower its kind of hard to move the ball from each stall point of your hand, but with time you'll see its much easier

i've been practicing extremely slow my 1b palm iso and yesterday while walking and doing this move, it was first time i got EVERYONES atention i couldnt stop laughing seeing everyones expression.. i usually get a couple of pple amazed by isolations but that day i was impressed

I personally like the look of a really slowly executed palm iso anyway instead of the hand moving really fast. It gives it a much more weightless look imo.

Yup, best advice... when I slowed it down, it just started.. working. xD And the feeling of a smooth iso palmspin is shooooo amazing.
