Walk around with the ball in the cradle position til you can easily keep the ball on top of your hand, then slowly learn to toss and catch from the cradle. I did this on my first day (a few weeks ago) and managed my first clumsy butterfly the next day.

Ill agree on that one. DAy one for me (three days ago) was that very thing. Cradle to palm tossing and every now and again trying a one way windshield wiper. Of course, the whole time I was walking around (for the last 3 days the only time I'm not touching a ball and trying something is when im typing, doing homework or sleeping.. Yes I CJ while eating...).

So yea, just play with the ball, get comfortable with it... Make it your new best friend and when you and it are well aquainted it'll lend you a hand in performing some cool tricks.

Oh, oh, I know what!! I know what you should do!! (I just started too) You should download Kae's book!! It's sooooooooooooo cool!! It has all the stuff you need. And its a whole book, so it'll keep you going for ages!! Wait a sec, and I'll just find the link......

EDIT: Here!! http://www.wiisave.com/kronok/cj_guide.pdf

While you're at it set some goals (and be reasonable).

Also, if you haven't read it and worked through it go work through Ferret's "First Five Steps" in the essay section.

Even if you can do butterfly's on both hands - the next question is can you do them blindfolded (sounds crazy but it helps, read the essay - im not going to get into quoting it! ).

Also, Iso's are very very fun. I'm finding them hard, but it's cool when you get it right. So if rolling the ball gets to be a little bit ordinary - strike up another lesson "four basic Isolations" in the essay section and get on isolating.

I've been doing this for about a week and a half, and everything people have said is pretty alright.

Today, I did a bit of a different thing. I got my hands together in prayer-hand with the ball balanced on my fingertips and I went up and down a flight of stairs a few times. No droppage!
