just to clarify that, I was interested to see whether it would make the journey (i'm tempted to get one) they generally take a proper drop on concrete to dent.

I really like the idea of the purple glitter sphere at neon husky, but it's not a 3incher. Dang!

I use a 4" hollow stainless for most of my performance work over concrete. Yes, they will dent slightly, but nothing very noticeable, especially if your audience is more than 5 or 6 feet away, and doesn't affect performance at all. Even isolations are still convincing after repeated drops, especially in lower light settings, and audience at a distance. I often perform infront of a waterfountain in the evenings, and right now the Christmas lights are all around, and makes the isolation stuff look awesome, even though mine has little flat spots all over. I notice it, but they don't. I've got a 6" that I use for learning some body roll stuff, but the walls on it are much thinner, and it will dent a lot more than the 4". When I say "dent" on the 4", its more of a very minor flattening of the surface, I should take a picture of mine to show just how minimal it is. Anyway, I love the look of it, and the weight is great if you do long performances (ie, ren faires or street performing several hours at a time) because it doesn't wear you out. I've got a 4" acrylic too, which is beautiful, but there's no way I could keep it rolling for 4 hours straight. Anyway, I sell acrylics, metals, and crystal (for the daring) in my store in Branson MO, or if you don't live near there, email cj@differentskateboards.com and we can hook you up. I'll be adding a post also with what we carry.
