hello hello ,
i've been searching around in this forum and also looked at the dvd reviews but i'm still not sure ...
i'm about to buy the neonhusky's 'starter kit' and you can choose a dvd ,
should i take CJ part 1 or Sphereplay: art of the sphere ?
i'm not so into bodyrolls but i'm very interested in isolations and palmspinning. in CJ part 1 isn't that much of iso i guess ? but is there iso in sphereplay ?
(in isolation dvd is also on my 'to buy list' of course )
oh and has any of you seen this dvd !?! --> http://www.dube.com/video/9-1DVD.html?cd=extreme
it looks nice , but some reviews would be nice.
thx _________________ ____________________

I've seen the 9-1 noridc objects preview, and its pretty schweet, but i was miserably let down by their new free vids. 200-300mb each, and none of them were worth watching. They were mostly scenic shots with bad music. And when someone is actually in the shot rarely does it have any "real" content.

The sphereplay DVD doesn't have isolation in it. It's pretty much all about bodyrolling from what I remember. I only watched it once though _________________ http://www.myspace.com/illumilatte

oh to bad.
so it's gonna be Contact juggling part 1 i guess , or part 2 , but that's maybe to hard ...
but part 1 is the basic and all that stuff you can also find online , so maybe it's better to buy 2 : ) _________________ ____________________

I'm not a big fan of the Sphereplay video. I bought it at the Ren fest several years back when I bought my first ball and I found that it moves too fast and doesn't really explain in too great of detail exactly what's going on in some of the moves being done. Now that I watch it I can follow it, but as a beginer it was pretty difficult and I ended up not playing for a long time because I got frustrated with it. |

the sphereplay video is mainly hand rolling. My main gripes with it, is the entire routine is static. No hips, waist and knee usage, arg. The whole style isn't very gracefull or illusionary at all. Which I maybe biased towards, but making it look slick is just cool. And for a choeographed routine there is no beat count and musical ques. IIRC some of the instruction goes no further than "now do this" kinda thing. _________________ With practice, Contact juggling is as good as a Ungody Sphereplay nose fight inside a post box |

duploh, i'm not sure you are referring to the right thing. The Forest you are referring to is part of the VSNBT MNPLTN SRS , and is a complete work in itself; unrelated to the Nordic Objects DVD.
I think they are outstanding peices of work; I'm totally blown away by Elias Hedlunds club manipulation _________________ Circus 2.0 |
