so i've been learning a bit of popping and waving to put into my contact juggling however im finding it a bit tricking to do an arm wave while holding the ball
any tips/advice?
would be much appreciated! |

Isolation is the key.
Not just isolating the ball, but isolating your body too.
You need to learn to move just one single part at a time. (Seriously, this is mega important.)
also, try gripping the ball as in a gripped isolation, and lift your wrist. compensate for the arm movement you just made in the same way as you learnt to do with the gripped iso when you first started learning isolations.
When I'm teaching, I liken it to turning the throttle on a motorcycle.
From there, your wave is started, and your ball remains isolated.
After a while, you'll find more ways and places to commence the wave, but hopefully this'll start you off. My favourite at the moment is to wave with an Enigma. awesome way to move it around. if you're having trouble visualising any of this, check out the videos of me and Colin on youtube.
