As most of you have probably noticed the Bob Hughes Company site has not been around for a while.
Over the past year I have been taking a break from the business. It is time for me to announce the official closing of the BHC door(one guy one door). I was hoping to open it again some day but unfortunately that is not going to be possible.
BobHughesCompany Dot Com is now owned by someone else and so please do not send any emails directed towards me their.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Thank you to everyone for supporting the company and I look forward to future endeavors that will allow me to help the community. _________________ Rich Shumaker / Seen SphereplayTM: Playing in the Multisphere yet? You Should!!! / www.RichShumaker.com |

I've seen the multisphere video... and despite your instructions, I still can't get the upsidedown palm spin... maybe I need smaller spheres to learn it. _________________ It's not about rules... its about play |

So I guess the question is what size are you using?
I started with 2" and now am working on 2.75" - I have 2.5" fairly solid at this point.
Thanks for the well wishes Zoc _________________ Rich Shumaker / Seen SphereplayTM: Playing in the Multisphere yet? You Should!!! / www.RichShumaker.com |

I'm using 2.5" which is the smallest I have atm... I can't even get a vertical palmspin hardly with them, let alone upsidedown. I'll have to try and track down something smaller. There used to be a store that had chinese exercise balls in town, but he closed. I'm sure I can track something down though. _________________ It's not about rules... its about play |

I have several different types and sizes of spheres and balls.
I tried the upside down with larger 2.75" spheres early on and I almost locked my hand solid. It was not fun. Once I down sized I was able to achieve spins one way and over time both ways. The upside down led to the vertical and the small led to the big.
Let me know if you need more help you can post or send a private message. I have not been in the swing of checking the board for quite some time. I need to start again.
The other thing that I have used is mirroring onto a pillow. Spinning them on the pillow. I could do the upside down by then so I don't know if it will help the new person starting out or not. I know I found it helpful for counter spins. Counter to your natural way. Whatever way that is. _________________ Rich Shumaker / Seen SphereplayTM: Playing in the Multisphere yet? Thanks. As soon as I find some smaller ones, I'll get to work on them again. I learned the cube or box pattern that Shifty taught, and doing that sideways my hand is basically doing an inverted spin, but of course the spheres are being held up my the ones underneath and would fall if I moved my other hand out of the way. *runs out to find smaller spheres* _________________ It's not about rules... its about play |

Rich, I saw a guy on youtube doing vertical palmspins, he was very buddhist looking.
He said he was inspired by you, I'd just like to say well done, his CJ was amazing!
I can't find the video, if you know which one I'm talking about could you maybe post a link up? It deserves a good audience. _________________ Sausages and plants and goldfish |

I think you might be talking about Adam Dipert of Harmonized Motion. Here is his You Tube video:
