This is by far the best comment of the thread.
Thinking of purchasing some balls but with the cost of them don't want to make any mistakes, so what about using colours, some of the teaching vids look good with a different colour ball highlighting the isolation or movement. |

for me the 3.5" clear acrylic is the only way to go. everything else is to small or too big, 3.5 is just right. and as far as people that don't contact juggle, they seem to like clear best. |

Grateful juggler is onto something there. If I had the choice I'd scrap my 75mms and go for 80 or 85mm, great for one ball great for multiball.
And clear, don't mess with the classics (although UV are good as well) _________________ Now all gatherymost to amuse it and have a tilty elbow or a nice cuffle-oteedee - Oh Yes!
For single ball... 3-3.5" for moi. Acrylics are my favourite, I like their weight and surface... and just the look of them during performances.
I would KILL for a clear pink acrylic... I would sell my soul... I would do anything... ;.;
I've seen these but didn't pay a lot of attention to them because I'm a clear lad at heart. If all goes to plan I should be popping into Butterfingers within the next few days so I'll pay more attention. (or I'll ask if they'll bring along some to the Leeds convention) _________________ Leeds Juggling convention: 8th December 07 |

well i havnt actually started multiball yet as i dont have the funds but ive always liked the look of aqua blue on clear. eg. if you're doing a 4 ball routine, 1 coloured ball can look effective. but with aqua blue on clear it always gives me the feeling of ice and water |

I have 2 aqua and 2 clear - they're lurvly!
edit: i got my aquas from firetoys and there are some imperfections on one of them. You are more far more likely to run into imperfections with colored balls and they dont isolate alone as effectively. I have found tho that it does depend on the isolation - for instance 2b in each hand (1 of each colour) and the 2 aquas isolating during the spin looks much more effective than clears doing the same move imo. I dont think id ever want a large coloured acrylic for 1b work - it slightly takes away from the illusion i think. _________________ The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious - the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. - Einstein |

In regards to the pink UV balls: yeah, I saw those.. unfortunately, the price + shipping to Canada would be way too much, and, also, they don't come in the sizes I'd be looking for. :[ Also, I believe Neon Husky has them as well, and heard they're more fuschia than anything.
@HippyPete
Ah ha! I knew I had a couple vids with aqua balls favourited...

Personally, clears are my favourite, followed by aqua/light blue. The other colours just don't look quite the same |
