Whoo! I managed my first transfer without killing myself! Whoot! And I got the ball to balance on my fingertips in prayer hand while walking up about twenty stairs and I didn't drop it. _________________ ------------------

Hey, first post. Obviously, I'm new. Anyway, I just did the One-Handed Butterfly (the only move I knew the name of) for the first time, thanks to ferret's tutorials. Thanks ferret! |

Hey I just learned something! I can do an inner arm roll and pop it back to my palm. It's pretty consistant too, now to work on the left hand. _________________ And like a rubber ball, I come bouncin' back to you. |

Woo Hoo... Ther other day I learned the Behind the Neck Roll. Today I became effecient at the behind the neck roll.
Today I also learned the infamious "Around the Neck Roll"
I was able to do a COMPLETE around the neck roll (Rt hand to chest roll, around left side of neck, behind the neck to right side and back into a chest roll to the left hand.)
The one on the vid here is just rt hand into chest roll, around neck and back to right hand. Which I can do........sometimes......
After I got the Behind the neck roll... It was like I finaly overcame a wall and learning new moves is like it was for me when I first started so many years ago...
saulie.
More vids coming soon. _________________ Contact juggling is a disease, to which there is no cure. It is a poem of which each movement is a word. If you CJ with your heart, your body will follow.

Im quite chuffed with how my 3b palmspinning is coming along - first few attempts i was convinced id never be able to turn them once let alone continuously. Its getting easier now tho - can do about 5 turns! _________________ The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious - the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. - Einstein |

That's awesome Spazzle! I remember when I first got the three ball spin a few months ago. Holding those balls really works the forearms and the biceps!
As far as successes on my part, I'm leating palmspinning moves for breakfast these days... my 4 ball chases and "follow the leader" type things are pretty smooth and 5 balls is coming along nicely.
In body rolling I'm not so hot. I'm still trying to get control on the back arm rolls, and the cradle when the ball is in motion. I haven't really gone up any further than the forearms yet, I think confidence is the biggest issue. _________________ It's not magic, but it bloody well looks like it |

Wow, frem reading all this. I am excited that in a few weeks we could get some vid updates from people to show the progress...
Today I got my first weak arm chest roll, to behind the neck to around the neck roll.

I've started monkeying around with doing what I call full spirals.
Whereas the spiral as we know it only makes a half rotation around your arm, this move goes the whole 360.
Start with your arm straight out in front of you, fingers extended, palm down.
As you roll the ball up your arm (in this case we'll say the left arm)
move your whole arm to the left, and rotate it around the ball until you end up with the ball happily rolling back atop your forearm.
They're quite tricky to keep in proper contact with my arm, but I've done it a couple of times already, so I know it is possible.
Do beware though, you'll probably bang up your wrists quite a bit as you practice this one. _________________ Contact Jugglers do it anywhere. |
