Yup portishead are pretty hamazing in general. For a bit of a change of pace I've been listening to quite a bit of fatboy slim recently, in particular 'halfway between the gutter and the stars' it's a fantastic album for toss juggling but it has been inspiring my body rolling as well.
Also 'The Beastles' album 'Let it Beast' Yep you guessed it, it's an album of beastie boys/beatles mash-ups and it's proper boss so try and find it on torrent. _________________ Now all gatherymost to amuse it and have a tilty elbow or a nice cuffle-oteedee - Oh Yes!

For a different beat and rythym play I have a mix up of tool tracks that works well too. I like the rise and fall of Tool's progression. It will calm down and then burst forward. Makes for an interesting change of pace. _________________ seeker of truth

Well... jeez everything is great for CJing you just have to feel it and some people feel more ambient stuff then others. I for one like drums due to the fact i was introduced to CJ at Ren Faire and working next to E Muzeki gets the feel of drums embedded in me.
So for me its either some drums like jembes and stuff, E Muzeki or i dance to whatever comes into my head. _________________ Simplicity is Bliss |

i agree with zap: i've learned too with drums (djambès, darbucas, congas)..
'cause i CJ in a park, where sometimes there are more than 20 djambè players..
also when you play on the street (to make money) drums make people stop much more than a simple guitar.
but the best is djambès with dijeredoo... that's great!
i suggest Outback "baka" (guitars, bass, drums, dijeredoo and no voice)
or Rodrigo y Gabriela (two mexican guitarists who play the guitar also like a drum, beating the wooden part of it while playing) (and they don't sing)
Erik Satie (piano) is perfect for isolations.. |

Once again, thank you Thorn.
Got Dead Can Dance - Toward the Within yesterday...almost as good as The Sisters of Mercy.
I recommend anything by The Mission (The Mission UK to Americans)....
Also of course The Sisters of Mercy AND their side project The Sisterhood.
Oriental sounding stuff...
