I can do it, although, as Robin says, it's sometimes a matter of luck.
As for instructions - roll the ball as if going for a chest roll (backarm roll, the ball goes across the front of the shoulder, above the armpit).
As the ball approaches the chest, duck your head under it.
If you roll slowly, you'll have more control.
Use a large ball at first.
If the ball rolls down your back, cross it deeper at the shoulder, and duck your head lower.
